On March 24, 2016, our company will be 50 years old. Many things have happened in that time.

At the beginning there was the passion, talent, determination and diligence of the company founder - Wieslaw Szczepanik. Difficult conditions of contemporary social and economic system in Poland did not conduct to the development of private business. In a small factory of handicrafts initially there were created suspenders clips drafting and registration boards and household items. In the mid-seventies Wieslaw Szczepanik has implemented an innovative idea of producing steel sposts javelins and after next ten years to introduce an original concept for the production of top-class competition javelins made of duralumin ...Nowadays Polanik is a modern company, which employs nearly 100 people. In the production halls taking up all together 5000 square meters more than 1000 products are produced. We fit out completely athletics arenas in Poland and many in the world with track and field equipment.

More than 1000 products are made in the 5 000 square meters production halls. We comprehensively equip the athletic stadiums in Poland and also in many different countries in the world. We occupy not only with production, but also distribution of the athletic equipment, clothes and shoes. The worldwide athletic celebrities brake the global records using our implements. During last two years from the previous edition of our catalogue we realized next investment projects – we enlarged the production hall about 350 square meters, the parking and manoeuvring area about 1000 square meters, we bought the latest Trumpf laser cutting machine in the world, we equipped the weld room in the next Fronius half-automat. We also introduced approximately 50 new products of which the most important are the Premium and Basic starting blocks, Basic high jump stand, pole vault stands with electronic readout, Full Carbon discuses, rotative LED RGB bard and many others. We set up the next section in our company which won’t be linked to the sport issues. From the 50 years Wieslaw Szczepanik, my father and my boss, enters every day in the morning to the company’s building, he greets his crew and goes to do his duties. Now he doesn’t work as much as he worked in the past because now whole the team of the involved people work for the success of this company. In behalf of the Management and our partners, I would like to thank the former and current employees for their effort to develop the Polanik company. Without you we will never reach the point in which we are now.

I would also like to thank our Distributors in Poland and in the world for their involvement in promoting Polanik brand on the different markets. I would like to thank especially the athletes and their trainers for the trust in our products and belief that we really “help to win”. I would like to thank Polish Athletic Association, Czech Athletic Federation, Veterans Athletic Association, IAAF and many sports clubs, schools and sports organizations for the successful cooperation during this time.

I think we didn’t waste these 50 years and we are looking forward to the next years….

Year 2017 is special time for our home town, as Piotrków Trybunalski celebrates 800th anniversary of its foundation. That is one of the most important event in the history of our city.

As citizens we are proud of its great history. Piotrkow was the seat of the Polish parliament centuries ago.
It was here that a bicameral parliament was formed, the Jagiellonians were elected to the throne of Poland and the Crown Court took place.

Over the decades, especially in recent years, Piotrków Trybunalski is developing dynamically. We are changing our closest environment, which is becoming more and more beautiful every year. The unique atmosphere admires the charming architecture of the old town with its narrow streets and remnants of the ramparts.
