Copernicus Cup with Polanik 2025

Copernicus Cup is one of the most important indoor athletics meetings in Poland. Over the years it has gained a huge reputation and has been included in the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold, a group of the most prestigious indoor events in the world.

Our company has sponsored the Copernicus Cup since its first edition. We financially support the meeting's organization and provide full equipment for the hall in Toruń.
 
The eleventh edition of the ORLEN Copernicus Cup took place in the Toruń Arena on the 16th of February 2025.
The second places were taken by pole vaulter Piotr Lisek, hurdler Krzysztof Kiljan and Patryk Sieradzki in the 800 m race. The third were sprinter Ewa Swoboda in the 60 m race, Justyna Święty-Ersetic in 400 m race and Anna Wielgosz in 800 m race. The fight in pentathlon was won by Paulina Ligarska, ahead of Adrianna Sułek-Schubert.
 
Piotr Lisek achieved the best result of the season - 5.70. He lost only to the representative of the Philippines Ernest Obiena - 5.80.
 
The result of 7.65 gave the second place in the hurdle race to Kiljan. American Louis Rollins won by achieving 7.59.
 
The result of 2.01.05 is a personal record of Anna Wielgosz. The Pole took third place in the well-staffed 800 m race. Ethiopian Tsige Duguma won with a score of 2.00.04.
Patryk Sieradzki was even better in the 800 m men's race, finishing in second with a score of 1.47,11. The victory was won by Italian Cetalin Tecuceanu - 1.46,97.
 
The third place was taken by the Polish 60 m sprinter favorite Ewa Swoboda, who scored 7,10. The fastest was Italian Zaynab Dosso - 7,05. On the lowest step of the podium in the 400 m race event stood Justyna Święty-Ersetic - 51,36.
 
In the women's 1500m race, Ethiopian Gudaf Tsegay came close to improving her personal best. The result of 3.53.92 is the best result in the world this year. Even closer to the record, but Polish one was Weronika Lizakowska, whose time of 4.03,72 gave the fourth place among a strong cast of runners. This result is the second in the history of Polish athletics. Only Lidia Chojecka ran 0.14 faster in Birmingham in 2003.
 
The fourth in the women's competition with the best result this year was Pia Skrzyszowska - 7.87. Jamaica Ackera Nugent won with a time of 7.79.
 
Adrianna Sułek-Schubert won the 800 meters, crowning the pentathlon event during the ORLEN Copernicus Cup. Second at the finish line was Paulina Ligarska, who overtook her teammate in the general classification of the pentathlon during this meeting.
