European Athletics Championships Rome 2024 - Polanik Preferred Supplier
From 7 to 12 June 2024, the best athletes of the Old Continent competed during the European Athletics Championships Rome 2024. The competition was held at the Olympic Stadium, Foro Italico Park and on some of the city's most picturesque streets.
Our company as part of a partnership agreement with European Athletics has the status of Preferred Supplier and in Rome the competitors fought for medals using our javelins, discs, shots and hammers.
We know that not only Polish hammer throwers reached for our equipment, but our products helped in winning many medals and achieving excellent results to other nations too.
Just before the start of the championship, the European Athletics Federation predicted that Wojciech Nowicki would reach for his third title of European Champion by throwing a Polanik hammer: https://www.european- athletics.com/news/nowicki- going-for-third-european-gold- with-polaniks-ziolkowski- black-hammer-in-his-hand.
And they weren't wrong:)
The black hammer helped Wojtek win gold medal in an extremely exciting competition.
However, the favourite - Anita Włodarczyk's Pink Hammer helped the world record holder to finish second on the podium. For Anita, it is already the sixth medal of the European Championship, but only the first silver. So far, she has had four golds and one bronze.
In total, Polish athletes won six medals in Rome:
two gold ones - Wojciech Nowicki and Natalia Kaczmarek,
two silvers - Anita Włodarczyk and Ewa Swoboda,
two bronze ones - Pia Skrzyszowska and Michał Haratyk.
Such an achievements ensured our representation the ninth place in the medal classification.
The hosts won. The Italians won 24 rounds. This result consisted of 11 gold, nine silver and four bronze medals.
The next edition of the European Championship will take place in August 2026 in Birmingham. Two years after that - in June 2028 - the venue will be the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów.
Italy hosted for the third time the most important competition organized by the European Athletics Federation - after Turin in 1934 and also Rome in 1974.
