European Athletics U20 Championships Tampere with Polanik - Official Supplier
From 7th of July to 10th of July 2025, the European Athletics U20 Championships are held in Tampere, Finland.
Let's remember that the first championship competition for juniors - called the European Junior Games - were organized in 1964 in Warsaw thanks to the initiative of a group of Polish athletics activists.
Since 1970, they have entered the European Athletics Federation championship calendar as the European Athletics Junior Championships and are held in a two-year cycle. The last U20 championships were held in Jerusalem.
The competition will take place at the atmospheric stadium in Tampere, which previously hosted the European Athletics U20 and U23 Championships and the U20 World Athletics Championships.
Thanks to cooperation with our exclusive distributor on the Finnish market, IKL Sport OY, we have equipped the facility with equipment for conducting an event of javelin, discus and hammer throw, shot put, running events, long jump and triple jump as well as high jump and pole vault. As in the case of the European U23 Championships in Espoo in 2023.
Organizers say they will offer athletes and fans an unforgettable athletics event. The first official day of the competition will be August the 7th, but the opening ceremony will take place the day before - on August the 6th, next to the stadium, in the square of the Ratina shopping center.
The championship will attract athletes from almost all European countries to Tampere. The final number of athletes expected to take part in is 1,800 and team members, but the final number will be confirmed after the entries close.
