From 20th of March and 22nd of March, the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 were held at Arena Toruń.
It was the biggest athletics competition in Poland in over a decade.
For three days, the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region became the global centre of athletics. We had the opportunity to cheer on the world’s top athletes, while our equipment - presented in a special championship edition - was “helping them to win” during this exceptional competition.

Polish athletes once again proved they belong among the world’s elite, winning one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals, which secured them 9th place in the medal standings:
- Jakub Szymański won gold in the men’s 60 m hurdles
- Natalia Bukowiecka got silver in the women’s 400 m
- bronze medals were claimed by:
⇒ the mixed 4 × 400 m relay team (Kajetan Duszyński, Anna Gryc, Marcin Karolewski and Justyna Święty-Ersetic)
⇒ Pia Skrzyszowska in the women’s 60 m hurdles
