Piotr Lisek started the season with the score of 5,75 metres in Duszniki

On 24 May 2026, the Lisek at home Meeting was held as part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze series. We were happy to visit Piotr Lisek’s hometown again, bringing our equipment and supporting the organisation of this friendly event.

It was the sixth edition of the meeting. Piotr Lisek opened his outdoor season in Duszniki. The Polish pole vaulter, recently coached by his wife Aleksandra, finished second in his home competition. He cleared 5.75 m on his third attempt. It was Piotr’s best result since July 2024, when he cleared 5.81 m at the meeting in Hof. Since then, no other Polish vaulter has come close to that height.

"I’m happy, although the jump still had many mistakes. We will see if I can go higher. I know I still have a lot left in the poles. Usually, things move forward during the season. I had a lot of fun today and I want to enjoy it. Don’t send me into retirement yet," he said after the competition.

The fans could also enjoy the presence of Renaud Lavillenie. The 40-year-old former world record holder (6.16 m) came to Poland once again. This time, the Frenchman cleared only 5.50 m. He could not repeat last year’s winning result of 5.82 m.

Ethan Cormont won the competition on Sunday after clearing 5.75 m on his first attempt. Interestingly, Latvia’s Valters Kreiss was close to victory as well. At the end of the competition, he tried 5.87 m, which would have been a national record, but he was unsuccessful this time.
